Kouri Island is a small remote island belonging to Nakijin Village in the northern part of Okinawa's main island. It can be accessed by crossing the 2-km-long Kouri Ohashi Bridge, and beautiful sea views can be enjoyed from the bridge.\n\nThe island is surrounded by emerald green sea, and Kouri Beach and a rocky beach called "Heart Rock" are popular. Heart Rock in particular is known for its heart-shaped appearance of two rocks at low tide, and is a famous Instagram photo spot.\n\nThe island is also said to be the setting of the Okinawa "Adam & Eve Legend" (Teru and Uminai), and is popularly known as the "Island of Love" or "Island of Love. The island is dotted with restaurants and cafes, and marine activities such as snorkeling and kayaking can also be enjoyed.
