Okinawa All-Island Eisa Festival 2026

The largest Eisa festival in Okinawa, held in Okinawa City every late August. Youth associations from across the prefecture perform traditional Eisa drum dances at Koza Athletic Stadium. The 3-day event features the Michijunee parade, regional youth performances, and the All-Island Eisa finale.

About Okinawa All-Island Eisa Festival

The largest traditional Eisa festival in Okinawa Prefecture, held annually in Okinawa City after the Old Bon period. Started in 1956 as the "All-Island Eisa Contest," it now attracts over 300,000 visitors over three days.

Three-Day Program

  • Day 1 (Fri): Michijunee parade around Goya Crossroads
  • Day 2 (Sat): Okinawa City Youth Festival at Koza Athletic Stadium
  • Day 3 (Sun): All-Island Eisa Finale featuring selected groups from across Okinawa
