This special exhibition commemorates the 140th anniversary of the birth of Yumeji Takehisa, a painter and poet representing the Taisho Romantic era. Approximately 130 works carefully selected from the collection of Yumeji's hometown museum in Okayama will be exhibited at the Urasoe City Museum of Art. Many of the works, including the recently discovered masterpiece "Amaryllis" and the valuable oil painting "Nude on the West Coast" painted while in the U.S., are being exhibited for the first time in Okinawa.
