Located in the southwestern part of Tokashiki Island in the Kerama Islands, this beach has a superb view known for its Kerama blue color. An approximately 800-meter long beach located in the southwestern part of Tokashiki Island in the Kerama Islands, west of the main island of Okinawa. With waters known as "Kerama blue," one of the clearest in the world, it is a popular beach representing the Kerama Islands National Park.
Designated as a national park in 2014, the Kerama Sea area is covered with coral reefs and can boast a transparency of over 50 meters. Just a few meters from the beach, you can swim and see colorful tropical fish.
Snorkeling can be easily enjoyed from the beach entry. The area around the rocks on the left side of the beach is particularly rich in coral reefs, where you can see bears, butterfly fish, and clownfish.
Hanale Island, an uninhabited island in front of the beach, can be reached by boat during the season. The surrounding area is a great snorkeling spot.
Observers are usually assigned on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from the second week of April through the end of June, every day from July through the end of September, and on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays through the end of October.
From Tomari Port in Naha, it takes about 35 minutes by high-speed boat "Marine Liner Tokashiki" or about 70 minutes by ferry. From Tokashiki Port, approx. 20 min. by village bus or rental car.
