About Kouri Ohashi Bridge

The Kouri Ohashi is a 1,960-meter** long bridge connecting Yagaji Island (Nago City) and Kouri Island (Nakijin Village) in the northern part of Okinawa's main island. It is the second longest bridge in Okinawa Prefecture that is toll-free, and is also called "the most beautiful driving course in Okinawa" because of the spectacular view of the emerald green ocean stretching out on both sides of the bridge.

Places to visit

• Ocean Drive: Driving over the bridge for a few minutes is as exhilarating as flying over the ocean. You can enjoy the gradation of the coral reef sea and the sky.
• Kouri Bridge South Observation Deck: The observation deck on the Yagaji Island side of the bridge offers a spectacular view of the entire bridge and Kouri Island. Free parking lot (about 40 cars) is available.
• Kouri Beach: Located just after crossing the bridge, you can swim in the beautiful sandy beach and clear waters.
• Kouri Ocean Tower: An observation tower located on the island that offers a 360-degree view of the bridge and the ocean.

Attractions of Kouri Island

Kouri Island is a small island with a circumference of about 8 km and is also called "Island of Love" or "Island of God. The island is dotted with photogenic attractions such as Heart Rock (a power spot for romance) and Teinu Beach.

Access

Approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes by car from Naha Airport, or approximately 26 km or 40 minutes by car from the Hushida Interchange on the Okinawa Expressway. Take National Road 58 north and enter Yagaji Island on Prefectural Road 110 to reach Kouri Ohashi Bridge.
