Ocean Expo Park, Tropical Dream Center

The Churashima Botanical Garden is a botanical garden of tropical and subtropical plants located in Ocean Expo Park. Visitors can enjoy colorful tropical plants such as bougainvillea and hibiscus, as well as approximately 2,000 orchids, all year round. The exotic architecture of the observatory offers a spectacular view of Ie Island.

What is Tropical Dream Center?

Located within Ocean Expo Park (the national park where Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium is located), it is a tropical and subtropical botanical garden, now also known as "Churashima Botanical Garden". With approximately 2,000 orchid plants, tropical fruit trees, and colorful flowers blooming on its 30,000 square meters of land, visitors can enjoy the beauty of tropical plants throughout the year.

Collection of about 2,000 orchids

Orchids from all over the world, including cattleyas, dendrobiums, vandas, and kochoran, are grown in the greenhouse, and some orchids are in bloom throughout the year. The "Orchid Hall," with its colorful orchids decorating the space, is an impressive sight, as if you have wandered into a paradise.

Tropical Orchard

Visitors can observe up close how tropical fruit trees such as papaya, mango, star fruit, cacao, and banana bear fruit, which are not easily seen on the mainland. This is a great place for children's food education and plant study.

Exotic Observatory and Architectural Beauty

From the ancient Roman-style viewing platform "Shisa Road" in the center of the park, visitors can enjoy a spectacular view of the Ocean Expo Park, the East China Sea, and even Iejima Touchu. The exotic architecture is also a highlight of the park.
