A half-marathon that allows participants to experience the nature, history, and culture of Nanjo City. The 23rd event, commemorating the 20th anniversary of Nanjo City, will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2026. Starting and finishing at the Sugar Hall parking lot, the race will consist of two events: a half marathon (21.442 km) and a 3 km road race.
The 23rd King Shobashi Half Marathon is a half marathon held in Nanjo City, the birthplace of King Shobashi, who unified the Ryukyu Kingdom. 2026 will mark the 20th anniversary of Nanjo City's establishment.
The entry fee includes the event management fee, safety measures, marathon insurance, and participation prize.
The course runs along the coastline and lush green hills of Nanjo City, offering a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean. The warm support along the course and the aid stations make this event popular among runners.
