The 32nd Iheya Moonlight Marathon is a rare night marathon held on Iheya Island and Noto Island, where participants run under the moonlight. The relatively flat course mainly follows the coastline, running from the rice fields with ears of rice to the west coast dyed by the setting sun and the fantastic scenery of moonlit nights.
From the blue sky and ocean view at the start, to the moment the sun sets, to the finish illuminated by the full moon and penlights, the greatest attraction is the ever-changing scenery that can be enjoyed all at once. At the eve and post festivities, you can also enjoy the island's unique culinary culture, such as Iheya soba noodles, beef soup, and cocktails made with local shochu "Terushima".
From Unten Port in Nakijin Village, about 2 hours drive from Naha, it takes about 80 minutes by ferry "Iheya".
