Raima Bridge

The 1,690-meter-long bridge connecting Miyakojima and Kushima Island was known as the longest agricultural road bridge in Japan when it opened in 1995, and the view of the Miyako blue ocean and the white sand of Maehama Beach from the bridge is breathtaking. What is Kugenohashi Bridge?

Kurima Ohashi is a 1,690-meter-long bridge connecting Miyakojima Island and Kushima Island, located 1.5 km off the southwest coast of Miyakojima City, opened in March 1995 and attracted attention as the longest agricultural road bridge in Japan at the time. The cobalt blue sea seen from the bridge is one of the highlights of sightseeing in Miyakojima.

Crossing the Kurema Ohashi Bridge, you will be surrounded by the Miyako blue ocean. On one side of the bridge, there is one of the best white sand beach in Japan, "Yonaha Maehama", and on the other side, the deep indigo color of the Pacific Ocean. You cannot take your eyes off the bridge for even a moment.

You can also cross on foot or by bicycle.

The bridge can be crossed not only by car, but also by foot (about 30 minutes one way) or bicycle (about 10 minutes). There is a safe viewing space on the sidewalk part of the bridge, where you can take a good look at the clear ocean spreading out before your feet.
